A recurring field problem

William Geffroy works in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning on public contracts and commercial buildings. At every intervention in a boiler room or technical site, the same problem kept coming back: missing documents. Electrical cabinet diagrams absent, distribution plans nowhere to be found, incomplete safety registers. Impossible to troubleshoot effectively without this critical information.

Problems and challenges

Documents inaccessible in the field

Technical diagrams, distribution plans, and safety registers were filed away at the office or scattered across binders. Technicians arrived on-site without the documents needed to work effectively.

No digital communication with citizens

Municipalities had no simple way to communicate practical information to citizens: canteen menus printed weekly, roadworks without explanation, no direct digital channel.

Positioning and strategy

William had the initial vision — we challenged and expanded it together. The citizen module was born from our exchanges and that's what got an instant 'yes' at the town hall.

1

Field immersion

Understanding the daily pain points of HVAC technicians on public contracts and identifying priority use cases

2

MVP in 1 month

Development of the document access platform via QR code and NFC with building management, equipment tracking, and safety registers

3

Market validation

Direct presentation to municipalities to validate the product in the field — result: invitation to present to the mayor after the first demo

The transformation

Without PeakLab

  • Technical documents inaccessible in the field
  • Product vision limited to initial use case
  • No market validation
  • No digital citizen communication

With PeakLab

  • Instant access via QR code / NFC on-site
  • Expanded vision with differentiating citizen module
  • Market validated from the 1st town hall presentation
  • 3 sectors identified: municipalities, EHPAD, social housing

The technical solution

QR / NFC document access

Each piece of technical equipment has a QR code or NFC tag. One scan provides instant access to all associated documents: electrical diagrams, distribution plans, technical manuals.

Building and equipment management

Centralized interface for managing site inventory, buildings, and their technical equipment with safety registers and intervention history.

Citizen communication module

Dedicated space for municipalities to share information with citizens: canteen menus, roadwork updates, alerts — accessible by simply scanning a QR code in public spaces.

The product exceeded expectations from the very first town hall presentation. The citizen module, born from our exchanges, immediately convinced decision-makers.

You delivered a product above what I expected. It's a finished product, not a small mockup. The exchanges with you brought so much to the project.
